What is Human?

Human is spiritual being like God who had a physical existence.

Unlike everything in the universe, God did not create humans by giving a command. Instead, He took some dust from the ground and shaped it into a body with arms, hands, legs, feet, eyes, ears, a nose, a mouth, and a brain. Somewhere we found that the human body was moulded with red clay.

To become a living being life was breathed into the human nose by God.

A human being is more than an animal. Somehow, we may act like animals which are snarling and snapping at one another and living for pleasure, but that is not what we were meant to be.

Humans were created to live in a better way.

It is clear that God had something special in mind for creating the human, the greatest creation of God. Everything on the earth like light, water, space, dry land, plants and the sun, moon and stars came into being by a command from God. However, God became personally involved when a human being was created. He shaped a human body out of the dust and breathed the breath of life into the human’s nose with great care. God commanded us to rule over and take care of everything on earth.

We were asked also to bow down only before Him, not before any other existence.

Human beings are much more intelligent than any other animals on the earth. We can speak, write, draw, read, and solve, reasons and plans ahead. As human beings, we have invented automobiles, aeroplanes, computers and rockets.

The porpoise and killer whale (orca) have large brains and are quite intelligent, but not as intelligent as most human beings. They are trained by humans to jump through hoops and swim for entertainment. God gave human beings intelligence similar to Him and has made us capable of ruling over all the animals on the earth.

God is love, and He has given a loving nature like His own to human beings. We must love and be loved to be happy. Life is not worth living without love. The first human being Adam was unfulfilled in heaven until God gave him a mate Eve. She was God’s answer to Adam’s need for companionship.

The first couple entered a strong and satisfying relationship that they were not like two individuals. They became one by an honourable love relationship. Love was like a rope that bound Adam and Eve together in unity.

God created human beings in His own likeness because He wanted to love someone and because He wanted someone to love and honour Him in return. People, like God, want to be loved and honoured. But it makes God sad when we refuse to return his love and turn away from Him.

Unlike God, a human being deserves honour and respect. God loves and values everyone. He loves and values you. He loves and values others. That’s why any human being must not be insulted, cursed, injured or dishonoured by us. Everyone of every race is worthy of honour and respect.

Of all God’s creatures, only human is capable of knowing Him. That’s why the human being seeks after the Creator in order to know Him. Adam and Eve talked with God as naturally as they talked with each other. No animal yearns to walk and talk with God or to worship Him. Have you seen any animal bow down before God in prayer or even tried to communicate with Him? Only human beings have the ability to know God and have a close relationship with Him and communicate with Him.

It is reasonable to believe that a human being is a living being-a being similar to God. A human being is like God mentally. Human beings were made of love, honour and respect as God’s likeness. Unlike any other creation in the universe, only a human being is capable to contact with God.

God is eager to forgive us and to lift up us again even when we fail to be the kind of people we were meant to be.
